About A. Kellie Taylor, ARNP

I have 23 years of inpatient general pediatric care that includes 20 years of experience with the inpatient pediatric oncology and hematology populations as a registered nurse. I value the implementation of evidence-based practices while facilitating clear and professional communication among my peers and colleagues.

I have been serving the adult population with acute and chronic pain as an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) for 3 years. My area of focus in this population is preventive medicine. In addition, I educate patients about their specific comorbidities and foster strategies to improve their overall health condition as well as improve pain management outcomes.

I attained my nurse practitioner (NP) degree in 2015. I have taught as adjunct faculty in nursing schools at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) and Grand View University. I work toward maintaining the elements of kindness, compassion, and transparency. I continually collaborate with my colleagues with utmost professionalism and openness.

In my spare time, I volunteer as a nurse practitioner with the Free Clinics of Iowa. I perform physicals, immunization evaluations, and treatment for multiple disease conditions.
