About Paula Stageman
I started in the health care field at a young age and continued to work my way through nursing school. I obtained my Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA. I continued to work as a labor and delivery nurse for the next 15 years. While I enjoyed caring for families during one of the most important times in their lives, I wanted to develop relationships with them and be an active provider in the health care continuum.
After completing our family, I decided to further my education and received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Phoenix, and then proceeded to graduate with honors (Sigma Theta Tau) from the Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) program at The University of Cincinnati.
I have many years of experience with patients of all ages. I feel fortunate to be a part of an emerging specialty. I will work to help diagnose acute and chronic pain, order appropriate testing, order pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment modalities to help relieve your pain. I believe a multimodal approach is imperative to the healing process and improving quality of life. I will collaborate and consult with physicians and other members of the health care team to create an individualized plan of care that will ensure you will meet your pain management goals.
